Description

Allocasuarina inophloia, Northern NSW & Southern QLD

The Hairy Oak tree grows alongside the grasstree and many other shrubs that tolerate poor soils.
It’s branches consist of many small segments with no visible leaves and it’s bark is made up of hairy fibers giving it a distinct and unique look.
The dark medullary rays  visible give it the common names “Hairy Oak” and “Wooly Oak” due to their resemblance to the European and American Oak, though these trees are not related.

This pen was created as a unique piece and as such only one can be added to your cart.

Ships with black ink unless blue or red is requested in the checkout notes; additional refills and colours are available.
